Divemaster
This is a very simple game should take you less than 30 seconds to play but see if you can get to the bottom and find the treasure! I made it as part of Brackeys Game Jam 2023. The theme was Diving Deeper.
This is my first game and I am happy with it. I wanted to achieve a simple loop where you dive to the bottom and retrieve some treasure which I was able to do. However I wish the performance would be better. I learnt a lot in this project, especially about the Unity library and some of the things it can do.
Some things I would do better would be properly learning to use tile maps. You can see that I have used tile maps a bit haphazardly and I struggled to find a set of assets that were all uniform and as a beginner, I don't know how to deal with this! My tilemap colliders are really bad and the player frequently glitches through them. I think the way I have done the tile maps and their colliders is causing the game to perform badly as well. I would also like to explore adding extra levels, enemies and maybe procedural level design in future.
